Theres no end to this!!! Ugh.... And now Twitter... (I dont think so)
There's a screenplay and blockbuster movie in there somewhere.....

nope, a mon avis tis a total waste of time. Who cares what someone is thinking in no more than 140 letters?!

It was hyped up by the media and thats what got it going. Not cos its a genuinely great idea.

Yeah I'm on twitter 'kstahl'. I mainly tweet about composing.

I'm always looking for other composers and musicians to follow. I often tweet questions about orchestration and whatnot... but no one replies

I'm open to any recommendations of interesting people to follow in my music community.

Ha - I am following you now Kevin. You have to compete with hundreds of other tweeters so don't be surprised if you get no feedback ...

It's a fun way to get a quick update on what people are up to although there are other sites that do that as well (myspace, linkedin and so on).

I'm still unsure of how this thing works. I'm getting the jist of it slowly.

Though I rarely use it, and when I do it's usually about my life rather than music.

Nobody is even following me besides spam accounts, lol. No idea why I update the thing. I guess just as a personal log or diary, something to work out when I was doing what etc...

Why it has to be broadcasted to the world, I'm still unsure of. But whatever.

On a serious note, I never make my real-name public on these so called Social-Networking websites.

Maverick - Read my post earlier in this thread. Search for interesting people to follow. Often they will follow you back. If you want to be found by other musicians, composers, etc., use #hashtags. People know to search for things like #music #composer #filmmusic etc.

Hey, I just searched for EWQLSO and got several hits right off the bat.

If you're getting spammy followers, Block them.

I've met some amazing people all over the globe on Twitter. I use it to stay connected those people, and also to be connected to interesting people I haven't yet met. Much different than Facebook which I use mostly for close friends.

here's my Twitter page: http://twitter.com/mejon

Twitter.. I was skeptical at first. I've gotten into it. It's an easy way to stay in touch with friends (though it's a sad excuse for such a thing), and a way to stay up to date with various people or things.

I decided to follow a bunch of composers, or film music people, a while back, and it's been neat for me as someone who's learning about music. Believe it or not I've actually learned some things from tweets I've seen on twitter. So, it's definitely worth the time.

Tweet's are short and sweet, unlike my forum posts, so that's why I like it
