Default Symphonic Choirs - pure harmony

I'm currently reading through some textbooks on composition by Arnold Schönberg. This is the outcome of chapters on diatonic harmonization and simple development. I'm not yet super familiar with how to make Symphonic Choirs sound superb but I think it has a lot of potential that I did not uncover yet (thinking of the legato and portamento scripts, which sound pretty good on some of the vowel instruments)

If anyone else has some pure choral music, please share. I'd love to hear your approach to this genre.
