Default Global parameter freeze... not sure what to call it

When browsing through .ewi samples from a given library after I start tweaking the settings, fx, eq, whatever - when I load a new sample it completely resets everything. I want to be able to maintain all the various tweaks made in the player interface - amp/delay/stereo spread (which seems to have little effect on some of these 25th anniversary libraries) reverb, as well as the tweaked settings on the mixer FX while I swap in different samples. It occurred to me that a global toggle would do the trick, and I believe this is how other companies do it.
