Question Keyswitch Manipulation?

I think one of the difficult parts of using VSTs is applying the right accents and slurs to a piece to feel more human. I've been tinkering with the marcato patches; adjusting velocity sensitivity and articulation volumes.

I recall a way to assign keys to certain articulations? I remember a mouse-over menu showing a bunch of keys to make keyswitches and was wondering if it were possible to load slur scripts and accent scripts while preserving a nice sustained sound to avoid having to open up a bunch of channels per instrument.

Can anyone replicate this, or is there an easier way?
