Default Re-installing EWQLSO Platinum Plus Play

This might seem like an odd situation but bear with me. I have both EWQLSO Platinum Plus Kontakt and Play versions. There were times that I wasn't too terribly thrilled with Play so I only used it on the libraries that were exclusively Play, and kept my Kontakt libraries intact. That said, I did indeed purchase the Play version of EWQLSO.

So now I am thinking that I would rather have the Play version installed for the legato function as well as the mic positioning mixer built into the player. My question is this:

Do I really just need to go back through loading ALL of these DVDs and then updating the Player? I mean, I already have a current Play installed for my other libraries like the Hollywood series. I was just wondering if I couldn't download the current version of the library for free somehow since I own it already and because it might be simpler and faster than dealing with the DVDs. Just asking. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Eric,

SO Platinum Plus is one of the few libraries which are not downloadable.
(The others being Hollywood Strings, Brass, Woodwinds Diamond.)

If you need to re-install via the DVDs:
WIN: http://www.soundsonline-forums.com/s...de_DVD_Win.pdf
MAC: http://www.soundsonline-forums.com/s...de_DVD_Mac.pdf

We also provide a harddrive with the samples preloaded.

Toggle to CC Plus HD, if you want a harddrive with all of the libraries
in the Diamond / Platinum versions. Please remember to select your
according OS (Mac is the default).

To download Play, go to this page:

Thank you LMW. I have started the process. Ugh....this is going to take a while, lol. From my internal DVD drive to my internal WD Black 7200, I am getting a max of about 14MBs transfer rate. Is this normal? Just asking.

Yeah, that can be correct. The transfer rate is dependent on the read speed
of the DVD drive from the discs. I don't have the data on hand for SO-P,
but HC Gold gives me nearly 10k files for 7.5GB. Remember that the
samples themselves aren't that large - they're measured in the
hundreds of KB.

At ~300KB for a .ews file, that's approximately 45 per second what
you're currently transferring.

(Again, we do have a harddrive with the library preloaded.)
