There are more details on the EW homepage. At it seems there are only ensembles ? No Solo instruments, like solo saxophone?

Everything was recorded in a 4 or 5 piece ensemble to create the dynamic pop brass sound, but for the multi-samples part of the collection the separation is surprisingly good without the room mics, but this release was never intended as a solo instrument collection.

Does this mean that a future release may be called Hollywood Pop Solo Brass?

Would be literally the final piece of the puzzle for the Hollywood Series!

This is a welcome addition to the Hollywood Series.
Looking forward to hearing the demos.
I have a need for well played/grouped ensembles. And, I wish there will be a follow up to this using solo instruments.

Will the phrases be tempo synced? I know I asked the same question with Voices of the Empire and the answer was no. I love the sound and the idea but if no tempo sync then I don't know how useful it will be to me. Too much work otherwise.

Oh wow, I just came on here after years away to implore EW to record a Big Band type library, then I got excited when I saw this thread. Then I realised it was just ensembles...! That's great and all but the market is really lacking a definitive Big Band library for solo instruments. Yes there are some respected ones out there but after researching them they are lacking in good legato, recorded instrument ranges (seriously, why would you not record the highest and lowest registers for sax's?) and frankly terrible recording quality. The pop brass instruments in Goliath are functional nothing more.

When I think of a definitive Big Band type library, I think EastWest would be the go to people, as I know it would sound fantastic, not scrimp on the recorded ranges of the instruments, the legatos would be excellent and the variety of articulations would be generous. So I'm truly surprised EW haven't done it yet. This library looks good but I really hope EW follow it up with solo instruments.

Are there any demos where one can hear the articulations for multi samples?
I always liked the quality of sound from Quantun Leap and East West.

Thanks
