Default ComposerCloud sounds with "x"

What are the sounds that have an "X"? For example, what is the difference between EW Hollywood Cello Gold and EW Hollywood Cello Gold X? Thank you!

Hey Mudman,

tl;dr: The Gold X includes one additional microphone position.

We have 3 different tiers of ComposerCloud, and 2 educational discounts
(EDU). The given prices are the current Special Offer prices.
http://www.soundsonline.com/composercloud

ComposerCloud $29.99 (EDU $19.99) is our monthly subscription that comes
with the Gold versions (16-bit samples, one mic-position) of Hollywood
Orchestra + Solo Instruments, Symphonic Orchestra, both Hollywood and
Symphonic Choirs, and Pianos, as well as the rest of the EastWest Libraries.

ComposerCloud X $19.99 (EDU $9.99) is a yearly subscription (which you
have the option of paying for in monthly installments) that comes with the
GoldX versions (16-bit samples, adding a second mic-position) of Hollywood
Orchestra + Solo Instruments, Symphonic Orchestra, both Hollywood and
Symphonic Choirs, and Pianos, as well as the rest of the EastWest Libraries.

ComposerCloud Plus $39.99 (no EDU) is a yearly subscription (which you
have the option of paying for in monthly installments) that comes with the
Diamond/Platinum versions (24-bit samples and all mic-positions) of
Hollywood Orchestra + Solo Instruments, Symphonic Orchestra, both
Hollywood and Symphonic Choirs, and Pianos, as well as the rest of the
EastWest Libraries.

While all have a version of the Symphonic / Hollywood series, only
the Plus subscription includes the Platinum / Diamond versions!

Note: For the EDU versions, please send proof of your educational
status to our sales team at sales@eastwestsounds.com upon
purchase or use an .edu e-mail address for your account.

Cheers.

Default Composer Cloud X sounds

Thank you for the detailed reply. I guess now, the main question I have is, since both are on my download list with my subscription, do I need to download both, or just the 'X' ones?

George

Gold will give you access to the first microphone position and the Gold X
will give you access to the second. Please do note that you will first need
to install Gold before you can install Gold X. And both will go into the
same main library folder.

Multiple microphone positions allow for more room / depth in the mix.
