Default Quickest cheapest month of Composer Cloud?

Hi all,

Could someone please be kind enough to save me some time by telling me what's the quickest and cheapest way to get one month of Composer Cloud?

I need to whip up some demos for funding applications a couple of film-maker friends have to finish in a couple of weeks. So I'm really under the pump! I'll probably just use Hollywood Orchestra and StormDrum 2 (?), 16-bit's fine (actually preferable to 24-bit) and I don't want to get locked into 12 months - I just want pay-per-month cos I'm juggling a few projects and don't know when I'll get back to orchestral stuff.

I'm busy moving and compressing files to make space on the internal SSD on my Mac mini, plus a whole lot of normal life stuff (which has NO consideration for deadlines, does it?) so any time saved would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Des

Hey Des,

Go to http://www.soundsonline.com/composercloud, click on the 'Start your 30 days now' button and checkout to get your first month of ComposerCloud (which is a monthly subscription with the Gold versions of the Orchestras/Pianos/Choirs) for $14.99. Then, during the last week of your first month's subscription (if you're done using it) sign into your soundsonline.com account, turn auto-renewal off and choose 'Yes, I want to unsubscribe'.

Thanks Michael.

I was actually at that page earlier today and it showed a $14.99 discounted price, as you said it does, but I thought it said it was for a yearly plan with just the first month discounted. IOW I couldn't just opt out after a month - I'd have to keep paying for the rest of the 12 months.

Now the only discount on the page is $24.99/month for CCX, and I can't see how to get back to the $14.99 price.

Done. That brings up the "Refer a friend..." bit. Clicking "OK" brings up the "Review Membership" floating window. Clicking "Decline" or outside the window leaves me at the same place as before, i.e. with the only discount on the page being $24.99/month for an annual CCX plan.

Composer Cloud X (with additional Mic Positions) is only available for 12 months membership. If you want to quit monthly you can only choose Composer Cloud (without the X).

You can get the CCX for 15 Dollar if you are a student or teacher.

Oh, I must've been hallucinating. 8~) I thought there was something (other than the educational price) for $15.

So the Composer Cloud monthly plan at $30/month is what I should go for, yeah?

Yes. But you only get 16 bit and one mic position. Mid for Strings and Woodwinds and Main for Brass as far as I remember.
