Default No close Mics on HW WW Goldx

I've tried but for some reason, my Gold x HW Orchestra will not load the close mics. I've re-installed and. it still gives the same re-install message. the mid mics still work, and I see:EW Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds GoldX.ewus, EW Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds GoldX.ewui, EW Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds GoldX.ewu in the folder. So anybody know what gives? I also see close mic folders in the Samples folders.

Doesn't the gold edition only provide the mid mics?

ComposerCloud X includes close mics as we sign up for a 12 month contract.

Yeah, we get close mics in the "X" Library. All of the other Libraries are working perfectly. I just need a more intimate sounding oboe. Actually using the one from the M1 on my iPad. It sounds great, but doesn't really match the rest of my orchestra. I try to live in there Hollywood Orchestra soundstage. It make mixing really easy, since everything sounds right together already.

ComposerCloud X will get you the close mic, and for all other collections that have multiple mic positions (including the new Hollywood Choirs), and even though it's a yearly commitment you can pay monthly (and it's $5/mo less).

I actually have the same problem with some of the oboe patches. I've signed up for CCX and all the other instruments I've used so far load the close mics fine. But I just tried a few of the oboe patches and it says I have to download the HOW GoldX. I hope it was just a bad install - I'm downloading and reinstalling HOW GoldX now. I'll let you know how it goes!

I had the exact same problem few months ago... oboe and bassoon.
Tried to delete and re-download and un-pack three times, same thing.

I finally went and checked the paths where the samples were unpacked and I found out some of the close mics folders got systematically placed in the wrong spot during the un-packing and installation.

I mean...

E:\EW Libs\EW Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds Gold\Hollywood Orch Woodwinds Samples\Bassoon

looked like this

HW Cl Bs
HW Cl Bs LegRep RRx4
HW Cl Bs MarcSh DbTg RRx4
HW Cl Bs Nvb
HW Cl Bs Nvb RT
HW Md Bs

Dragged and dropped the misplaced close mic articulations in the "HW Cl Bs" folderm so that it looks like this at the end

HW Cl Bs
HW Md Bs

Same thing I did to the Oboe path.
I checked all the other instruments and they were fine.

It solved the issue for me. Hope it can be helpful.

Hi Niowiad! I noticed that the moment I started downloading the samples again and thought it might be it! Indeed, when I checked after the re-installation the problem was still there. I did what you said and the problem was fixed!

Let's hope there's an easy update-fix for this because I think many people won't know about this.

Anyways, glad it was something this simple!
