Default Classical

Hi. It's been years since my last post here, but I finally had some time to play with the sample libraries again, so here is a little piece in (as usual for me) classical style. Feel free to comment.

Orchestration: oboes, bassoon, horns, trumpets, timpani and strings.

Nicely done!

Incidentally, for the spritely violin figures around 3.18, did you risk legato articulations there?
I can't seem to make legato sound good in faster figures.

Well, damn! If someone had pointed that out to me and told me it was, say Mozart, I probably would have believed them :P Very authentic composition and sound to my ears anyway, nicely done.

Thanks to all for commenting. In this piece I used Hs gold with mostly short patches and some sustained for the longer notes. On medium length notes, long marcato worked ok. I also used a sustained horn pach, timpani and solo contra bass from ewql symphony orchestra. For the oboe, I used mainly the short paches of different lenght , controlled with cc1 (hw gold).
