Default Latency in Logic Pro X

I am getting a one measure delay in my track generated from the Voices of Soul program. When I record the VoS track in Logic Pro X, I see the track being recorded and I hear it playing - all with no delay.

However, when you play its back, the first measure (a couple seconds worth) don't exist. The graphic is there showing it was recorded, but there is no audio.

I tried using the piano track down to the third measure, and tired re-recording the VoS track from the beginning. But nothing plays until the second measure of the piano track.

Any ideas?

What's your buffer size and audio output settings?
Are you using an audio interface?

Does this only happen with Voices of Soul?
Does this only happen with the Play engine?

I've since got things working, for the most part. The fact is, this program is the least responsive than any other instrument I have. I have to compensate for the "drag" and better-time my playing - I suppose you can call it the anticipation, for lack of a better term. I have one other program I need to do this with, too, but it is not as severe.

Regardless, Voices of Soul sounds awesome, I just need to compensate for the program's response time.
