Default Does Diamond have a way to turn snares off?

Hello,

Does Hollywood Orchestra Percussion have a way to turn snares on and off? I cannot seem to find anything regarding this in the manual.

What do you mean by "turning snares off"?
The volume changes depend on the velocity.
So you could simply turn those down to 0.

In hindsight, I shouldve given more clarification. For the snare drum samples, do they have an option for snares engaged and disengaged?

If not, I guess I could take a field drum sample and tune it up-- or something like that.

There's a big difference between snare drums played with the snares on, versus snares off. The snare has a switch on the side, which can loosen the snares (located at the bottom) so they don't sound, in which case the snare drum sounds more like a tom-tom. See Adler, 4th edition, p. 509 and youtube video below.

Snare off:

Switching between snares on and snares off (you can see the switch in the video):

Sound is very different as you can see.

About the EW samples, I don't think there is a midi controller switch to switch between the two at least that I can see. You'll have to fake this with maybe a tom or field drum.
