Pop Brass indeed releases today, June 19th, as per the product page and the Facebook status!
I'm excited! Sometimes dreams come true!
Ok, if I were to dream some numbers I will tell you... Stay tuned
Anyway, from the demos HPB seems really interesting. I can't wait to try it!

Is anyone else having problems with HPB?

"Play could not find a valid sample folder". I tried the suggestions from the documentation, but that didn't work so I placed a ticket.

@All: If you're getting an error-message about the Play engine not finding
the correct location / sample path, please make sure that you're on the latest
version, namely Play v6.1.2, which you can download from here:

http://www.soundsonline.com/Support?...ates&article=1

Once that is installed, it might show up one last time. In that case, please locate:

1. Open PLAY in standalone mode (not in your DAW)

2. Find the Libraries window in the upper left hand corner of PLAY. If you don't see the Libraries window, click Browser at the top of the interface.

3. If you see the library title listed in the window already, right click on it and choose "Set Product Library Directory." If you don't see it listed, right click anywhere in the window and choose "Add Product Library" and choose the product you’re trying to add from the menu that pops up.

4. Navigate to where you have your libraries stored on your hard drive. Inside of the each library’s folder, you should see two folders: an Instruments folder, and a*Samples folder. Highlight and choose the Instruments folder

Cheers and enjoy the Brass!

Adding to Lorenz's post:

5. If it's still not working and you're on Windows, repeat from step 1, but launch PLAY as an administrator.

I found a good excuse to buy this. The 4th of July.

Sounds like somebody finally nailed the shakes right.

Thanks for coming to our rescue.

I had the opportunity to test this for a little while ... it's really excellent. Go for it.

No shakes, only trills.

The trills sound pretty close to trills, only disadvantage is that you can't control the speed of the trill (that would have been nice with eg a mod wheel).

Below are several videos on how shakes / lip trills are executed on the trumpet.

Jon Harnum on the shake / lip trill:

Lip trill exercises:

This video by Charlie Porter has a lot of special effects and how they are executed properly on the trumpet:
