Default HW Pop Brass Trailer Question

at 1:09 in the official trailer for HW Pop Brass there is a Sax solo. I have searched through this library of group sounds of mostly licks and phrases and found no solo sax patch. Where is this sax patch coming from? The saxes in Goliath are way too legit to be this instrument.

I was wondering the same thing ... my guess is that it is probably live.

The instruments (trombones, sax, trumpets) are recorded as a section, not solo. You can mute microphones and bring out eg the sax but to really a convincing sax solo you'll probably have to combine with another library (NI Session Horns Pro) or better yet get a live player.

That would be cheating to use live players on a demo of a VST library!
I have the CC subscription and have been looking through all the libraries for a way to get a good representation of a sax. The closest I have found in CC is in the Goliath library. I was hoping this new library was going to surpass what is there. There are other horns all over this suite of tools, but sax is limited.

Oh, by the way, the sax sounds in Goliath have no key switches for articulations.

You can take all other mics out and the sax on certain patches does sound
separate, but there will still be some ensemble bleed in that instrument.

Well, it's not really a demo ... it's a trailer to whet your appetite. Trailers are always a little bit bigger than life. Uyanga Bold doesn't really ride wild horses through the Siberian wilderness, nor does she behead people with sharp swords ... but her voice is every bit as incredible as it sounds on Voices of the Empire.

Goliath is now one of the oldest EW libraries ... well over a decade old. It has a little bit of everything, but these days there are so many VSTs out there. It's still very useful if you're looking for something quickly.

Wait ... really? So that's why my plan didn't work. I rented a horse and swords and went to Siberia. Couldn't you have told me before? Damn...

Terrifc song, so many fond memories.

Ok, back to the program. Pop Brass is absolutely terrific for this style of music. Another blast from the past, bringing back so many memories.

All I am asking for is a keyswitched saxophone patch with alto and tenor at least. I pay every year. It seems that previous EW libraries were too legit to have such a thing.

That's not how it works .... having a subscription or permanent licenses doesn't entitle you to anything. You can suggest new instruments or improvements to Play on another forum, but it's up to EW to actually implement any such suggestions at their own discretion. With their subscription cloud model EW has so many users these days, they can't possibly cater to everyone, even more so today than before they launched Cloud.
